Héctor Vigliecca

Héctor Vigliecca has a vast career, which was consolidated through several partnerships before founding VIGLIECCA & ASSOCIADOS. One of the most awarded architects in Brazil, he was nominated for the Mies Van der Rohe Prize for the SESC Nova Iguaçú project, considered a milestone in Brazilian architecture. He is also one of the authors of the Boulevard Artigas Complex project in Montevideo which currently integrates MoMa’s permanent collection.

Founding partner, Luciene Quel has a professional trajectory of over 20 years alongside Héctor Vigliecca. In addition to designing the projects developed by the office, she is able to work in each project in a strategic and integrative mindset, able to sort through and work with the multiple complexities found in each project, playing an important role in the articulation between teams and representing VIGLIECCA & ASSOCIADOS.

Neli Shimizu is responsible for the Low-income and Social Housing projects including major urban interventions projects in unsteady urban areas, responsible for the design, development, and team management during each project.
